Hollywood disappointment to close Cannes
Newly House of York (Hollywood Reporter) - After its underwhelming debut at the Sundance Pic Festival, the Hollywood satire "What Just now Happened?" will get under one's skin a second chance at Cannes next month.
Henry M. Robert De Niro stars an embattled Hollywood producer whose life falls apart during ace turbulent workweek. In a life-imitating-art turn, the film's climactic view takes space at the Cannes Celluloid Festival, with the producer's fictional movie-within-a-movie opening the event.
"Happened?" also stars Catherine Keener as a tough-as-nails studio apartment chief and features a number of stars, including Sean Penn and Bruce Thomas Willis, playing themselves in self-parodying roles. Barry Levinson directs from an version of "Into the State of nature" producer Artistic creation Linson's memoir.
